Both Heron Preston and Virgil Abloh presented their 2018 spring/summer collections in Paris, but the two have teamed up to share a “COLLABORATION.” Unveiled in Heron Preston’s showroom, the Italian-made bag is a clear union of both Preston and Off-White™’s aesthetics with a lot of attention paid to design. On the inside is leather-constructed, hunter orange pouch, which is housed by an outer polyurethane shell. True to the Abloh way, the bag’s hardware is quite literal: nuts are fastened onto the leather handles, and carabiners are the apparatus on which the dual-branded industrial straps are attached. While care labels are normally hidden on the inside of a bag, a leather version that reads “Heron Preston x Off-White™” and designates the bag’s size is stitched on the outside instead while a “COLLABORATION” stamp and Abloh’s signature diagonal motif completes.
