There are a number of ways one could deal with their internet haters: a statement, a song, silence. However Rihanna went a different route to respond to her body shamers.

Last week a website published an article entitled “Is Rihanna Going To Make Being Fat The Hot New Trend?” Rih’s fans slammed the misogynistic vitriol, which lead to the piece being deleted. The singer herself kept quiet about it — until now. On Monday she indirectly addressed the situation via Instagram by posting a meme with two photos of Gucci Mane at different weights and the words “If you can’t handle me at my 2007 Gucci Mane, you don’t deserve me at my 2017 Gucci Mane.” Her caption? A single tear drop emoji.

Brava, Bad Gal.
