'Silence of the Lambs' Serves as Inspo for MAGIC STICKS's 2017 Fall/Winter Collection
Turns out Hannibal Lecter’s a fashion icon.
Cult Japanese streetwear brand MAGIC STICK has an offbeat frame of reference for its 2017 fall/winter collection – 1991 horror-thriller film The Silence of the Lambs.
The drop consists mostly of ’90s-style boxy silhouettes and slouchy military-meets-sportwear staples that feature well-known scenes and quotes from the film as emblems across the garments. The smokey color palette, consisting mostly of black, grey and beige, is a nod to the classic film too, although there are contrasting pops of color that come through in orange and neon tones. Key pieces include the hooded coat with an all-over winter tree print and a reversible satin bomber jacket with a camo print on one side and a graphic featuring The Silence of the Lambs’ iconic moth motif on the other.
Preview some of our favorite pieces from the lookbook above and keep an eye out for the collection to drop on HBX.com later this month.
