Womanhood has been a consistent theme for Proenza Schouler season after season. For its latest campaign, the ready-to-wear brand makes a clear show of support for Planned Parenthood. In “A Film For Planned Parenthood of New York City,” prominent faces of fashion, like Paloma Elsesser, Hari Nef and more, share personal anecdotes detailing what femininity and being a woman means to them as they echo sentiments about the power of choice. Designers Hack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez explained why they’re backing the nonprofit organization in a statement, saying:
“In recent months, Proenza Schouler has been driven by a need to stand up with organizations that fight for the causes we believe in. Now more than ever we feel it is important to use our voice and platform to speak out in support of the things we care deeply about. Planned Parenthood means so much to the women who work at our company, and to the community Planned Parenthood serves in New York City and beyond.”
