808s and Pastels: Meet "Sugar Trap" Queen Rico Nasty

She’s both sweet and spicy in her “Watch Me” visual.

Rico Nasty is like the best friend you wish you had. Nasty, also known as the TacoBella, creates music for ladies that exist on the spectrum between thug and sweetheart. The pastel-haired beauty hails from the DMV — the mid-Atlantic cosmopolitan of D.C., Maryland and Virginia. These surroundings fuel her high energy and creativity that result in content you can’t look away from. The rapper’s sing-songy single “Hey Arnold“ took over the Internet with its fun-filled visual shot at a playground. Since then, she has continued to drop jewels for girls to start their own party to.

Her cadence has been compared to bubblegum trapper Lil Yachty but her music offers much more. Bella’s bars are sugary yet impactful, and can’t quite be compared to any contemporaries yet. Her latest mixtape, Tales of TacoBella, shows that there’s more behind the pink hair and smiles.

View her “Watch Me” video above and boost your weekend playlist with selects from her newest project.
