Hender Scheme x adidas Originals' 2017 Fall/Winter Collab Is All Nude
The Japanese brand puts a minimalist spin on the NMD_R1, Superstar and more.
Best known for his minimalist design sensibilities, Hender Scheme founder Ryo Kashiwazaki reimagines three iconic Three Stripes silhouettes — including the NMD_R1, the Superstar and the MicroPacer — with undyed leather and replaceable soles. Handmade in Tokyo, these shoes embody the spirit of wabi-sabi, a traditional Japanese idea of embracing transience as beauty, as the leather uppers will morph and age beautifully over time.
Designed with a neutral color palette, the sneakers have also been rendered with certain key elements being taken away. While the NMD has its BOOST midsole removed, the MicroPacer is stripped of its pedometer. Browse the gallery above to take a closer look at all three pairs.
Ranging from $900-$1,000 USD, the collection will be available for purchase at select adidas Originals accounts like HBX beginning September 2.
