Meet Martine Ali, the Designer Behind Kendrick Lamar's 'DAMN.' Jewelry
She keeps the TDE rapper shining.
When Kendrick Lamar set out on his DAMN. tour, his wardrobe courtesy of Jerry Lorenzo has been of keen interest to both fashion and music fans. But if you look beyond his luxe Fear of God track pants you’ll notice something else shiny and new: bold, silver jewelry.
Coveteur caught up with Martine Ali, the ex-DKNY jewelry designer who’s been responsible for decking Kendrick out in her part punk, part hip-hop pieces whose fans count everyone from Lady Gaga to actress Diane Kruger. As for Kendrick, she linked up with his stylist Dianne Garcia to create a jewelry wardrobe for him to wear on stage, in his videos and other recent promos.
Take a sneak peek into Martine’s Brooklyn-based studio above, and read more about her inspirations over at Coveteur.
