Nothing's 2017 Summer Collection Is an Ode to Women

Peep the HBX-exclusive capsule.

For its latest Summer 2017 capsule, Sydney-based streetwear label Nothing once again looks to vintage erotica and Asian pop culture as sources of inspiration. Teaming up with HBX, Nothing’s creative director Mark Soetantyo now drops an exclusive range that features a series of strong female characters as the heroines of the graphic designs. Vocalizing a powerful ode to women, the pieces are emblazoned with references to Japanese biker gangs, geishas and more.

In particular, Soetantyo collaborates with Indonesian illustrator Ryan Ady Putra for the drop’s Geisha Squat Girl motif, which fuses together various different aesthetics and perspectives. Altogether, the range includes a selection of T-shirts, long-sleeve tees, a coach jacket, a hoodie and the standout item, a satin-like monochromatic button-up shirt.

You can view Nothing’s 2017 summer collection in the lookbook above, and can head over to HBX to shop the full offering.
