Solange has announced that her next project will be an installation set in Marfa, Texas. The Chianti Foundation invited the R&B songstress to recreate her “Scales” experience at the art gallery’s outdoor space. The singer shared her excitement to adapt her newest work via Instagram:
“Donald Judd’s “15 untitled works in concrete” has had such profound influence on the way I view the world, and I am beyond honored to deliver a site specific version of my performance piece, “Scales” (2017) alongside these phenomenal installations during @chinatifoundation weekend.”
Fans clamored earlier this year just for a chance to watch her striking visual for A Seat at the Table that was hosted at the Guggenheim this year. With no official tour plans made, these one-off performances seem to be the best way to watch her sing live. For those who would like to attend this October 8 performance, make sure you check the Chianti Foundation site for updates on ticket info.
