HYPEBAE Style Guide: Tracksuit 101 with TheLineUp

Maya Nilsen and Julia Dang suit up in Nike, Vetements, adidas Originals and more.

If there’s one clothing style that can be worn during any season, it’s tracksuits. Championed by Paris Hilton and Juicy Couture circa 2000, the sporty two-piece is easily one of the most versatile items in a girl’s wardrobe. Almost two decades later, the athleisure ensemble is back on trend and is now embraced by streetwear labels and luxury fashion houses alike — even Gucci made sweats.

With summer coming to a close, we’ve joined forces with Stockholm-based YouTube duo TheLineUp to present a new installment of HYPEBAE Style Guide. Channeling their inner Sporty Spice, Maya Nilsen and Julia Dang offer us a quick lesson in styling tracksuits for day and night, from summer to fall.

Nike tracksuit is styled with classic Air Force 1’s, while a pair of adidas Originals tearaways is balanced off by a cropped Vetements hoodie, red fishnets and GUESS booties. For a more laid-back look, go for just the track pants and pair them with pool slides and a sleek bodysuit — American Apparel in this case. Finally, if you’re looking to amp up your party outfit, ditch your LBDs and wear your Three Stripes pants with an off-the-shoulder top and stilettos. It makes a surprisingly chic look that’ll turn heads on the dance floor.

Take your style notes while watching the video above, and flick through below for more outfit details.
