We’ve been eagerly awaiting any news from Apple‘s latest update since we showcased a leaked video of the coveted iPhone 8 earlier this month, and now we have even more cause to be excited over the impending release as info on the top-of-the-range iPhone X has leaked and it looks like our beloved emojis will be getting a revamp too.
Allegedly dubbed “Animoji,” the update includes select emojis that have been reworked in 3D-generated formats – meaning that they work alongside facial tracking software in order to create customized expressions. Apparently most animals and even the robot emoji are included in this overhaul. Along with the Animoji, the iPhone X will also boast a new portrait lighting mode, with settings including “Contour Light, Natural Light, Stage Light, Stage Light Mono and Studio Light,” which will no doubt bring your selfie game to a whole new level. Other supposed updates include the introduction of Face ID so you can unlock your phone with facial recognition rather than a fingerprint and of course, the removal of the home button entirely. The new batch of iPhones is set to release on September 19 – peep the rumored pricelist before the drop.
