A Backstage Look at Public School’s Spring/Summer 2018 Show at NYFW
Come again.
Public School co-founders and creative directors Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne are back with another strong statement in the Spring/Summer 2018 collection shown at New York Fashion Week.
This year’s collection was largely centered around consumerism, from invites being sent out in red to-go plastic bags, to the “come again” slogan gracing several pieces. The brand’s latest collaboration with Jordan Brand was also worn on the runway, but covered in plastic as a reference to the great lengths people will go to keep sneakers in a pristine condition. The collection was based around an earthy color palette, with an exception for a few stand-out pieces.
After the show, the Public School x Jordan Brand collection was available for purchase in a pop-up shop. The brand also sold everything from mugs to keychains with a smiley face, again coupled with the “come again” slogan.
