Kendall & Kylie Jenner Under Fire for Releasing a Chinese Take-Out Handbag
The Internet is quick to point out what’s wrong.
It’s be a rough year for the Jenner sisters, to say the least. From Kendall‘s notorious Pepsi commercial to her and Kylie‘s vintage tee range, the youngest members of the Kardashian clan have been under criticism over the past few months. And now, not long after launching their third collection for Kendall + Kylie, the reality stars are already facing controversy for one of their latest designs.
Included in Drop Three is a $150 USD handbag dubbed the “Lee Leather Clutch,” which is shaped just like a Chinese take-out box. Coming in white, the purse reads “KK Express — Los Angeles, CA” on the front and even features a graphic of a tiger. Not only does it raise concerns of cultural appropriation, but as some are quick to point out, the bag also looks oddly similar to one of Kate Spade‘s handbags from its Shanghai-inspired Fall 2014 line.
