Nike Sneakers Become Works of Art in Memphis Workshop's HYPEBAE Exclusive Editorial
Featuring Sean Wotherspoon’s Air Max 1/97 and the Air Force 1 “JESTER XX.”
Following our previous collaboration, we’ve linked up with Memphis Workshop again this spring for an exclusive editorial highlighting two of our recent favorite Nike releases.
Angela Campos, founder of the photo studio and marketing agency, has dreamed up a set of tasteful imagery and animations that perfectly capture the uniqueness of the Swoosh sneakers. Featured silhouettes include the coveted Sean Wotherspoon x Nike Air Max 1/97, as well as the Air Force 1 “JESTER XX” from the female-designed “The 1 Reimagined” collection.
The contest-winning shoe designed by Wotherspoon sees a hybrid construction that combines the Air Max 1 sole unit and the Air Max 97 upper. Covered in corduroy, this pair appears in a rainbowy color palette of pastel yellow, pink, sky blue and grey tones. The playful shades can also be seen from the quad-colored outsole. For those who missed the initial launch, be sure to pick up a pair in your size on March 26 at 10 a.m. EDT via the SNKRS app. Stay tuned for more information on its release on the upcoming Air Max Day.
Also featured in the editorial is our editor-approved Air Force 1 “JESTER XX.” Coming in an off-white colorway, this women’s exclusive model plays around with lopsided branding and is completed with a chunkier platform sole. The textured cow leather adds an extra touch of sophistication to the avant-garde shoe. For those who love this silhouette, be on the look out for more as Nike is set to unveil “The 1 Reimagined” range in new, exciting colorways in the coming months.
