Late last year, GUESS Jeans U.S.A. dropped its collaboration with A$AP Rocky, now the American label announces a capsule titled “Farmers Market.” Staying true to its ’80s and ’90s inspirations, the line takes cues from California’s agricultural heritage which is filled with lush landscapes, sunshine and the ocean’s vibrant breeze. Sean Wotherspoon played a major role in revamping the collection’s vintage GUESS silhouettes into U.S.-made, quality-first pieces.
The capsule includes a range of T-shirts, color-blocked hoodies and overdyed denim jackets and overalls. The colors utilized include dragon fruit purple, apple green and more. To launch the capsule the label will host its first GUESS Farmers Market — a pop-up marketplace showcasing fashion, street and lifestyle brands. The following brands will be featured: Sean Wotherspoon‘s Round Two, Chinatown Market, PLEASURES and Utmost.
Additionally, Darren Romanelli will also join the GUESS Farmers Market with a new collection of DRx Romanelli x GUESS Jeans U.S.A. x Medicom BE@RBRICKs and reconstructed Farmers Market clothing. GUESS Jeans U.S.A. will host a public inaugural event on Cinco de Mayo at its Downtown Los Angeles headquarters featuring food, entertainment and skate ramps.
