Tommy Hilfiger's Spring 2018 Adaptive Collection Is All About Inclusivity
Created to provide solutions to “make dressing easier.”
Tommy Hilfiger has officially launched its Spring 2018 Adaptive Collection alongside a new campaign focusing on providing inclusive apparel. Two years ago, the fashion house debuted a range of clothing specifically designed for children with disabilities. The first adult collection hit the market last year. This season’s detailing ranges from magnetic buttons, adjustable hems in addition to bungee-cord and Velcro-brand closures. The features make the process of getting dressed easier for individuals with disabilities who meet challenges on a daily basis.
In the Tommy Adaptive line digital campaign, a group of disability activists model the pieces: including motivational speaker and blogger Mama Caxx, dancer Chelsie Hill and Paralympian gold medalist Jeremy Campbell. Mama Caxx dons a trench coat in the campaign which is created with a hidden magnetic closure, while Hill models a dress with magnetic closures on at the shoulders.
