UGLYWORLDWIDE x SWEAR Debut New "Air Revive" Collection

The ’90s meet the future.

Footwear label SWEAR has collaborated with model and designer Jazzelle Zanaughtti to debut the “Air Revive” collection. Zanaughtti, who goes by the psuedonym UGLYWORLDWIDE, has gained the attention of brands like Gypsy Sport and Fenty PUMA giving a new face to beauty.

SWEAR tapped the creative to redesign its iconic platform boots adding stretch faux leather, mesh neoprene and clear soles to create a dynamic stepper. Three styles including the original, the Trigger and Xtra combine a ’90s silhouette with futuristic accents that nod to London’s counter-culture. The chunky shoes arrive in white and black.

Jazzelle shares her excitement for the capsule:

“I fell in love with the Air Revive collection because it combined a nostalgic ’90s feel with a striking futuristic design. They are chunky yet sleek and really fit my style. I love how the transparent sole makes the wearer look like they are levitating. I stayed away from loud colors to make sure the strong silhouettes remain the main focus. I also wanted the shoes to go with any outfit, something I could wear any day, no matter how I feel.”

To showcase the range, photographer Oscar Ouk shot the campaign creating photos that are out of this world. UGLYWORLDWIDE details the process behind-the-scenes:

“I wanted to keep the imagery energetic and colorful, to capture movement and my own personality. When I saw my final designs I was instantly reminded of 90’s music videos by the likes of TLC and Missy Elliott. They all featured strong imagery shot through a fisheye lens. That distortion is something I’m so fond of! That’s why I wanted to work with Oscar Ouk whose photography often has an element of distortion.”

Take a closer look at the footwear below and pick up a pair in your size from swear-london.com where the shoes retail for between $520 to $600 USD.
