#hypebaekicks Review: ARKK Copenhagen Kanetyk
Find out why this sneaker has potential to become the next big thing.
When it comes to finding a unique sneaker, I’m always on it. I’m a sucker for classic silhouettes like the Nike‘s classic Air Force 1 or a pair of sleek adidas Originals Stan Smith‘s, but I’m also a huge fan of trying out lesser known sneaker labels and edgy silhouettes.
After getting the chance to be a part of ARKK Copenhagen‘s launch of its new Kanetyk sneaker in Berlin together with Overkill, I was immediately sold. Marking the label’s most colorful shoe to-date, ARKK has a lot in store for 2019 and I truly believe that the Kanetyk has potential to become the next “it sneaker.” The label’s Creative Director Kasper Høj Rasmussen said, ”it’s big and bold and has these crazy colors inspired by the retro sports universe—it’s a lot of things we haven’t done before,” and he was right.
THE SHOE: ARKK Copenhagen Kanetyk “Neon Lime”
OUR REVIEW: At first glance, what stood out to me about the shoe was the bold colorway. Although the bright orange and yellow is eye-catching, the sneaker is easy to mix and match for everyday wear because of it’s sleek grey suede panelling. Merging a sporty silhouette with a modern streetwear design, the Kanetyk is the ultimate “low-key” shoe to add to your rotation.
The sneaker itself is incredibly light, and fits perfectly. Designed with ARKK’s signature WAVE13sole unit, the sneaker is comfortable and durable, and is finished off with heavy duty hiking laces with neon lace tips. If you’re looking for a sneaker that combines style with comfort, the Kanetyk is perfect for you.
VERDICT: COP
