Here's Everything We Know About Glossier Play
Anticipating the new launch.
UPDATE: Following the reveal of Glossier Play, eager-eyed fans of the cult beauty label quickly found that Glossier has filed for a “Goods and Services” trademark. In the file, the content description states: “Providing a website featuring consumer information in the fields of cosmetics, skin care and hair care products and services,” meaning that it seems like Glossier is planning on launching a new online platform.
In addition to the Glossier Play trademark, the brand has also trademark something called a Playroom, which filings indicate could be for body or room scents, suggesting that the new extension will go beyond Glossier’s current “minimalist” aesthetic. It remains to see what the new release will entail, but make sure to keep checking back for all the latest updates.
Cult beauty label Glossier just sent out a mysterious email to its subscribers, announcing the imminent arrival of a new brand, Glossier Play, which has apparently been “two years in the making”. There was no real info on exactly what this new venture is, save for an image of green satin fabric that leads to a landing page where you can sign up to receive more details.
The name itself isn’t giving too much away in terms of exactly what Glossier is up to; is it a line of sex toys? a music label or streaming service? vibrant, party-ready makeup products that are in contrast to it’s current offering? Or could it be something else entirely? Only time will tell – whatever it is, it’s due to release in March but in true Glossier style, it already has its very own Instagram account.
