Kim Kardashian has teamed up with German eyewear brand Carolina Lemke to deliver drop one of their highly-anticipated collaboration. The initial release comprises of seven styles: “Sahara,” “Rider,” “Nirvana,” “Chaotix,” “Tempest,” “Indra” and “Dusk.” The frames vary in design from sporty to edgy silhouettes pairing with any spring look you could think of. To truly make this collection accessible to all of her fans, West priced each of the sunglasses at just $90 USD. Kim is not only a creative collaborator with Lemke but she is now also a partner in the brand.

Following the April 2, launch of drop one we got a chance to ask West a few questions about how the partnership came to be and how she hopes the frames will be styled.

What was the process like working with Carolina Lemke to dream up this eyewear collaboration?

I learned so much about the manufacturing process and the quality that goes into the Carolina Lemke collection. For my collection, I was able to design the styles and create the vision for the ad campaign. It’s been an incredible partnership.

Festival season is on the way, do you have any styling tips in hot weather/crowded spaces?

Be comfortable!

How has your style evolved since becoming a mother?

My style is more low-key since I’m busy running around with the kids. I lean toward simple, easy pieces especially during the day.

What makeup look pairs best with sunglasses?

A strong lip.

If you had to choose one type of sunglasses to wear for life what would they be?

I’m inspired by vintage ‘90s styles. This collection reflects that so it’s hard to choose just one. I love them all.
