Vivienne Westwood Taps Big Names For FW19 Campaign, From Juergen Teller to Sam McKnight

Shot at a special location in London.

Following a footwear collaboration with ASICS, Vivienne Westwood now reveals her campaign for the upcoming Fall/Winter 2019 season. A number of big names took part in the creation of these visuals, from photography by Juergen Teller to makeup by Isamaya Ffrench and hair by Sam McKnight, along with creative direction by the photographer and designer duo Westwood and Andreas Kronthaler.

The campaign features not only models like Duckie Thot and Jordan Barrett, but also the designers themselves dressed in punk, grungy styles. It celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Barbican Estate, an iconic landmark in London which hold special places in the two designers’ hearts. Westwood and Kronthaler state in a press release:

“We love the Barbican, we go there on a regular basis over all these years, mostly to listen to concerts, home of the LSO. It’s a place which always surprises you – the building is exciting, there’s always something new to discover.”

The site was officially opened to the public in July 1969 following reconstruction after bombings during the Blitz in 1940.
