Boy Smells' Damasque Candle Has Put Me in the Ultimate Fall Mood
This week’s “Editor’s Pick” is a homeware essential.
Whenever fall comes around, I can’t help but find myself wanting to stay at home more, hiding from the darker days and colder weather. While shopping for seasonal staples like chunky boots and practical jackets cheers me up, I find it equally important to spend on homeware that makes staying in feel that little bit better. Candles are one of the simplest, most effective ways to switch up your environment and finding the right scent to match your vibe each season can easily uplift your mood. While my summer aroma was ROAM’s San Francisco candle, my go to this fall is Boy Smells’ Damasque.
As well as expertly blended, fragrant notes, the aesthetic of Boy Smells‘ products perfectly fits my surroundings. The millennial pink signature hue and well-spaced text is a nod to the founders’ background in fashion, so it feels like both the scent and the brand itself are a fit for my personality. Read on for more on the product itself and where you can cop it.
WHAT IS IT: Boy Smells Damasque Candle
WHY IT’S WORTH THE HYPE: As part of the newly-released Chromesthesia Series 2, Damasque’s key notes include rose, apricot, labdanum, cardamon, oud, cistus, guiac and tobacco. While at first glance it can be jarring to imagine how those would fuse together, they work perfectly to form a scent that is both warm and nostalgic, with the sweet notes complemented by deep, smoky ones. The candle comprises of a coconut and beeswax blend, dyed in a burgundy shade to match the glass tumbler, which you can re-use once you’ve reached the end of the 50-hour burn time.
You can buy it alone or treat yourself to the full Chromesthesia Series 2 collection of four – De Nîmes, Cameo and Philia – each in differing colors like blue, pastel pink and purple.
WHERE YOU CAN FIND IT: Shop it for $34 USD at Boy Smells’ web store
