Family reunion and coming back home for Chinese New Year is at the core of Prada‘s 2020 Lunar New Year digital campaign. The new capsule collection is modeled in the campaign by Chinese model Chun Lin and her family members, the campaign’s video itself being reminiscent of a documentary film championing a tradition ‘coming home for Christmas‘ narrative.
As Lin journeys home, childhood memories manifest and underline the importance of those unforgettable and formative moments with family. At home, to celebrate, Chun Lin and her beloved ones share gifts – perfectly curated for each specific individual – spanning a selection of bags, footwear, and accessories for both men and women from the brand.
The collection itself is centered around the color red, a tone that reflects luck, prosperity, and happiness. The iconic Prada triangle logo is too reimagined in red on certain items, vibrant red sneakers make an appearance, Prada side bags and totes don the Lunar-inspired logo, and several pieces feature traditional flower and bird motifs.
