adidas Originals Taps Hey Tea for Unexpected ZX 7000 Collaboration

Footwear fused with beverages.

Continuing its A-ZX series, adidas Originals has now teamed up with Chinese tea drink company Hey Tea to revamp its ZX 7000 model. Standing for “H” in the expansive collection, the unexpected collaboration highlights the beverage brand’s signature colors through dynamic design details.

Arriving in “Merlot/Rich Mauve/Clear Lilac,” the tonal kicks sport a pink color palette overall. With technical mesh serving as the base, diverse shades are woven onto the upper. At the toe box and front quarter, a translucent marbled TPU cage covers the material, while a similar theme is continued on the Hey Tea-branded tongue tab. Elsewhere, the shoe comes with pink-to-white gradient laces and 3M-equipped Three Stripes on the sides. Contrasting the colored midsole are white graphics to give an overall milky feel.

Peep the collaborative sneakers in the gallery above. The Hey Tea x adidas Originals ZX 7000 is slated to drop on October 16 via the sportswear brand’s web store for £109.95 GBP (approximately $140 USD).
