Louis Vuitton Launches Ultra-Luxe Perfume Customization Service
The one-of-a-kind fragrances arrive in a handcrafted trunk.
Having unveiled a series of extravagant items such as a bike and yoga mat this year, Louis Vuitton has now announced a bespoke perfume service for the luxury-obsessed. The house’s fragrances – made to order at a new atelier in Grasse, France – arrive in a handcrafted monogram trunk case.
“I wanted to offer our clients the possibility of wearing a unique fragrance, made in my creative workshop. To me, this bespoke Haute Perfumery service represents the essence of the House, because ultra-personalization has always been at the heart of Louis Vuitton,” the brand’s master perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud explains. According to the specialist, the key goal of the launch is to illustrate personalized olfactory portraits for clients.
Each fragrance is crafted based on the user’s taste, memories, lifestyle and typical perfume habits. After consultation, Belletrud composes one-of-a-kind scents using some of the most exclusive raw materials at the house’s Les Fontaines Parfumées in Grasse. During the months of development, an accompanying trunk is simultaneously made at LV’s workshop in Asnières. Each case can hold four 100mL bottles, three 200mL bottles, a 100mL travel case, a travel spray and 16 refills.
The customized perfume service begins at €60,000 EUR (approximately $72,690 USD). You can preview the space in which the scents are made in the gallery above.
