SUPEREGG Is the New Skincare Brand Using All-Vegan Ingredients
Erica Choi of Egg Canvas harnesses the power of eggs using plant-based ingredients.
Lifestyle influencer Erica Choi of Egg Canvas, a fashion, travel and beauty blog, has launched a new egg-related endeavor, skincare brand SUPEREGG.
Inspired by the use of eggs in Asian beauty routines (the practice dates back to 600 B.C.), Choi re-creates the vitamin-rich elements of the grocery essential — yolk, white and eggshell membrane — using entirely vegan components, resulting in three nourishing, plant-based ingredients: “Yolk Duplex,” “White Duplex” and “Shell Duplex.” SUPEREGG’s introductory products, the Sound Renewal moisturizer and Gentle Elements cleanser, are formulated with Yolk Duplex and White Duplex respectively, helping restore skin to the smoothness of an eggshell. In February, the brand plans to launch two sheet masks, a de-puffing option with White Duplex and a balancing option with Shell Duplex.
Unsurprisingly, SUPEREGG’s ethos extends to its curved packaging. Inspired by scientist Piet Hein’s superellipse, the moisturizer arrives in a pleasing, oval-shaped bottle, while the cleanser comes in a minimal white tube.
Head to the SUPEREGG website to pre-order the new Sound Renewal Moisturizer and Gentle Elements Cleanser. SUPEREGG’s sheet masks launch sometime in February 2021.
