PUMA Supports Women and Girls in Sports for International Women's Day

The brand is giving away ultraviolet laces with every footwear purchase.

With International Women’s Day right around the corner, PUMA is handing out ultraviolet laces to show its support to females in sports around the globe. For each pair of laces given away, the sportswear company will donate €1 EUR (approximately $1.11 USD) to Women Win – the global leader in girls’ and women’s empowerment through sport.

In addition, PUMA has also launched a social media initiative featuring its network of ambassadors, athletes and social fans to sport the laces. For every Instagram post that highlights the purple laces with the hashtag #PUMAWomen, the brand will donate an extra €1 EUR. On top of that, PUMA will donate an additional €100,000 EUR (approximately $110,600 USD) to the organization.

The ultraviolet laces will be available with every PUMA footwear purchase online and at the label’s New York City flagship store from March 1 to March 8. While you’re here, don’t forget to check out the brand’s new ’80s-inspired Rider silhouettes.
