Meet Terres D'Afrique, The Ethical Beauty Brand Uniquely Using African Botanical Ingredients

Well-respected in Africa and Asia, the brand is introducing a 3-step skincare routine to the U.S.

Terres D’Afrique has long been a favorite of skincare lovers in Africa and Asia and now, the brand is bringing a three-step routine to the United States.

Known for abiding by sustainable and ethical practices, Terres D’Afrique is Fair Trade-certified and works with local harvesters throughout Africa to source three key ingredients that power its products: marula, baobab and rooibos. Co-founded by Madagascar-born Stephan Helary, the brand also follows the Nagoya Protocol, an international agreement that stipulates fair and equitable sharing of genetic resources — such as the botanical ingredients used in Terres D’Afrique products — and the conservation of biodiversity.

The Radiant Glow Routine consists of three products: Gentle Face Scrub, Uplifting Serum and Facial Glow. The trio harnesses the power of marula, baobab and rooibos, vitamin-rich ingredients that provide anti-oxidant, anti-aging and nourishing properties. Terres D’Afrique remains transparent when it comes to its products: the brand’s website provides percentages giving each item a Fair Trade, Natural and Organic ranking (for example, the Uplifting Serum is 94% Fair Trade and the Gentle Face Scrub only 5%).

Terres D’Afrique’s Radiant Glow Routine ranges from $60 to $120 USD and is available on the Terres D’Afrique website.
