You Can Soon Customize Your Own Mazes With 'Pac-Man: Live Studio' on Twitch
The new version will also allow you to play with friends on community-made mazes.
With many turning to video games in times of quarantine, Twitch has become an even more popular destination for both new and existing fans to watch their favorite esports stars and streamers online. To further enhance the user experience, Bandai Namco and Amazon Games recently announced that Pac-Man will soon become a playable game on Twitch.
Slated to arrive in June, the new Twitch version will be called, Pac-Man Live Studio. Once the game goes live, it will be playable on a designated Twitch channel. For the time being, it seems that the game will only be available via web browser.
In addition to all of Pac-Man’s original mazes being accessible in Classic Mode, other modes will also be offered for gameplay. In Endless Mode, up to four participants can play together and try to acquire a high score on the global leaderboard. To up the ante, each player will only have one life per level. For those who are fans of customization à la Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you can make and share mazes in Studio Mode. Lastly, Select Mode allows up to four players to compete for a high score on community-made mazes.
Although details are still sparse regarding an exact release date, stay tuned here as we find out more.
