The 'Animal Crossing: New Horizons' Fall and Halloween Update Is Here
Celebrate the spooky season with these new in-game features.
Popular Nintendo Switch game Animal Crossing: New Horizons is back with a fall and Halloween-themed update. Launching on September 30, the free update comes with a number of new features that allow gamers to celebrate the spooky season virtually.
ACNH fans will be able to grow pumpkins on their islands by purchasing pumpkin starts from Nook’s Cranny during October, or from Leif year-round. Grown pumpkins can then be harvested and used for DIY projects.
For those looking to dress up their avatar for Halloween, you can purchase costumes at the Able Sisters shop throughout October. By exchanging Nook Miles, you can even get yourself some body paint or colored eye contacts.
On Halloween night (October 31, after 5 p.m local time), meet your neighbors — and expect to receive a visit from mysterious guest, Jack — in the plaza adorned with festive decorations. Make sure to give Jack candy for in-game rewards, and save some for trick-or-treating with your neighbors.
