Clarks Shoes Takes Its Iconic Desert Boot Back To Its Roots in New FW20 Campaign

Starring 12 UK-based creatives.

In celebration of the UK‘s creative changemakers, Clarks has chosen 12 artists to showcase their unique personal style in its latest Fall/Winter 2020 campaign. Dubbed “THEN. NOW. ALWAYS.,” the shoot also highlights the label’s signature Desert Boot, which was first introduced by Nathan Clark in 1950.

“Simplicity is at the root of many brilliant ideas and the Desert Boot is no exception. In the age of sustainability, we’ve seen a shift away from fast fashion and an attraction to quality and authenticity,” Giorgio Presca, Clarks Chief Executive Officer, said in a press release. “The Clarks Desert Boot answers this call.”

Combining elements of the past, present and future, the campaign was photographed and filmed by Udoma Janssen in Somerset, England – Clarks’ birthplace in 1825. Led by the creative direction of Mauro Simionato, the project features like-minded creative individuals including Grammy Award-winning producer and DJ Kindness, London-based songwriter, producer and director Miink, photographer Charlotte Patmore and more.

Take a closer look at the imagery in the gallery above and watch the campaign video below. Clarks’ FW20 collection will release globally online and at multi-brand retailers on September 7.
