Telfar Launches Durag Collection, Furthering Its Mission of Accessible Luxury
In bandana and monogram prints.
Following the success of its Bag Security Program, Telfar launched a collection of durags furthering the brand’s commitment to providing luxury fashion to communities that don’t typically have access to it. “This durag is meant to be a kind of luxury, and our goal, as always, is even more accessibility and ubiquity…We want to be in every braiding spot, barbershop, and bodega in America,” designer Telfar Clemens told Interview.
Durags arrive in two styles, bandana print and logo monogram. Available in red, blue and black colorways, the first is peppered with paisley motifs typical of bandanas. The Telfar logo is incorporated throughout the print, adding touches of subtle branding. The second, available in black and maroon, goes all out in Telfar logo monogram, featuring a repeating “T” in varying sizes.
Telfar’s durags retail for $90 USD each at the Telfar website.
