Léa the Label Launches First Linen Line Dubbed "Monaco"
Modern yet chic suiting crafted from organic materials.
Sustainable swimwear brand Léa the Label has forayed into tailored linen suiting for the first time. As part of the Resort 2021/22 season, the label’s “Monaco” collection offers a selection of all-white tailored separates and elegant swimwear.
“During this journey, it has been as important for us to create something that visually complements our minimal yet modern aesthetic of swimwear, as it has been to ensure we carry our commitment to sustainability through to this new category,” Léa Daaboul, Léa the Label’s founder and creative director, said in a press release. “The materials sourced for every aspect of these new pieces, as well as the partners we are able to collaborate with on their creation, allow us to continue to grow mindfully, which is ultimately the most important goal to us as a brand.”
Inspired by classic menswear suits, the modern women’s pieces in the range arrive in a relaxed yet chic fit. The short and long trousers and the corresponding blazers are dressed in ivory white, representing purity and new beginnings. As part of the brand’s sustainability efforts, the outer part of the silhouettes are crafted from linen, while the lining is made of natural silk and GOTS certified organic cotton. Elsewhere, the buttons are produced from plant-based resin.
As for the swimwear, the garments come in new colorways: “Mocha” and “Olive.” Just like the existing offerings, the new styles are made of eco-friendly Italian fabrics in collaboration with ECONYL®.
The “Monaco” collection is now available via Léa the Label’s website. The ready-to-wear line ranges from $250 to $380 USD, while the swimwear is priced from $85 to $185 USD.
