Semicouture Launches New Community Focused Campaign

Presenting an ultra-modern and effortlessly cool FW21 collection.

Italian-based womenswear brand Semicouture unveils its new Fall/Winter 2021 campaign titled Community Over Competition, that celebrates today’s changemakers, musicians and sportswomen in a series of inspiring videos.

Founded by Erika Cavallini, the casual-meets-tailored Semicouture was launched as a sister label to the designer’s eponymous brand, with the onus of providing women with clothing they can feel truly empowered in. Like its name suggests, the brand achieves this by taking the high fashion elements of couture and fusing them with everyday wearability. In its FW21 campaign, Semicouture puts its community front and center, harnessing the work of modern-day female figureheads and the subcultures they represent. The series has so far featured the likes of singer Lahasna, producer Livia and skater Marta Pruni.

In the fourth episode, Semicouture brings the spotlight to Tia Taylor, founder of the platform Colory. Coming off the racial conflict in her home country, the American-born content creator explains her mission to create a culture in Italy that is diverse and accepting of all races and backgrounds through her work. In the video, Tia expresses her bold and unapologetic personality in a two-piece suit featuring a split hem pant, a contemporary design from the new FW21 line. The activist also pulls from the collection a roll neck knit, an oversized blazer, a hoodie and a pair of baggy trousers, accented with bright tones and loose shapes.

Shop the new collection and explore the series on the Semicouture website now.
