Bagatiba's New Jewelry Collection Is Tough and Pretty

Jessie Andrews’ fresh pieces are inspired by Donald Judd and pool floats.

Bagatiba, the celeb-loved jewelry brand founded by Jessie Andrews, has launched a new range of covetable accessories. The “Tilda” collection is a melding of hard and soft, sharp and round — bracelets and necklaces are made of chunky rectangular links connected by circular rings, components respectively inspired by Donald Judd’s minimalism and pool floats at the Hotel Capo D’uomo.

“My whole design process is about conceptualizing products that look new but remind you of something old,” Andrews shared. Indeed, the designer’s new pieces utilize familiar shapes in a fresh way. Each bracelet and necklace is finished with a carabiner-shaped closure, a detail that adds utilitarian edge to the collection. All pieces are made of hypoallergenic stainless steel plated in gold and silver.

Bagatiba’s “Tilda” collection ranges from $220 to $340 USD at the Bagatiba website. In case you missed it, check out Tase Gallery, Andrews’s art, shopping and community space in Los Angeles.
