Kemio x Private Policy x UPRISERS' Tee Collab Will Raise Funds for the AAPI Community
To help fight the COVID-19 driven spike in anti-Asian racism.
Kemio, a Japanese influencer based in New York City, has partnered with Private Policy and community-centered streetwear brand UPRISERS to design a T-shirt for charity. Hate Is A Virus, a non-profit dedicated to fighting racism against the AAPI community, will receive 100 percent of the proceeds from the sale.
The entire team behind the project — including the photographers, glam team, creative director and brands — are AAPI. The team was united over one common goal: to use their platforms to combat anti-Asian hate fueled by COVID-19. The T-shirt is printed with a blue rose on the front with the phrase “RESPECT & LOVE,” while the back boasts the same graphic overlaid with the brands’ logos.
Priced at $30 USD, Kemio x Private Policy x UPRISERS’ tee will be available for pre-order on July 8 via UPRISERS’ website.
