UNIQLO Taps White Mountaineering for Cozy Outerwear Collection

Readying for the colder days, UNIQLO has joined forces with White Mountaineering for the first time to create a collection of cozy outerwear.
Using the apparel company’s jackets as the base, the collaborative range features outdoor-focused designs signature to the Yosuke Aizawa-helmed brand. “I gave a lot of thought to my ideals as a designer and how to utilize the detailing for outdoor items and sportswear I’d developed at White Mountaineering for UNIQLO wear, which is worn by all sorts of people,” the designer speaks of the collection. “Designing clothing around the premise that ‘people move’ is one of my principles, so I carefully considered patterns and designs that wouldn’t add stress when worn.”
Made for women, men and kids, the range is comprised of UNIQLO’s Hybrid Down gear, which is equipped with down and cotton padding. Available in three color options, an oversized parka features a hood and multiple pockets on the front. Fusing warmth with style, a fleece pullover is complete with ribbon detailing on the sides. Men’s offerings include an oversized down jacket, a fleece jacket and a parka. The collaboration is complete with pullover and parka options for children.
Priced from $29.90 to $149.90 USD, the outerwear collection will be available at UNIQLO’s web store and all of its U.S. locations on November 1.
