Model Yumi Nu Launches Size Inclusive Brand, Blueki

Offered in sizes XXS to 6XS.

Model and songwriter Yumi Nu, loved by brands like Jacquemus and one of the latest to be featured in Vogue‘s “Beauty Secrets” series, has launched her newest project: a size-inclusive fashion label dubbed Blueki.

The 26-year-old decided to launch her own clothing line in March 2020, when she hit a breaking point in fashion that was not accessible for plus-size individuals. Despite working with some of the biggest names in the field in her 13 years of modeling, Yumi rarely came across brands that offered high-quality garments for plus-size individuals. The only designs available on a broader size range would typically be unethically made with short product lifespans.

After years of voicing the issue of the lack of size inclusivity on social media, the model spent almost three years developing Blueki with the mission “to guarantee that anyone of any size will be able to own long-lasting, timeless pieces made with care.” Ranging from sizes XXS to 6XS, Blueki’s inaugural launch is comprised of fall-ready knitwear. Standouts include lace-up corset tops, long-sleeved tees with cut-out detailing and knit maxi-length dresses.

The model took to Instagram to announce the launch of her brand. She wrote, “When I initially embarked on this journey, I had no idea what I was doing — I’m still learning so much… I want to thank the people that sat down with me and passed on their knowledge early on.”

Take a sneak peek at the collection above and below. Blueki is now live on the label’s official website.
