It’s no secret that with cold weather comes hoodie season and cuffing season, but also — partners who steal hoodies. Now, if you’re on the “borrowing” side, you probably have gotten away with this for a long time. But the people in the chat are over it. So much so, that they have support from literal Hanes.

So what does this mean?

The Hanes Hoodie Hotline provides comfort after losing a beloved hoodie. We all know there’s nothing more awkward than asking “loved ones, casual dating partners and awkward situationships” for your hoodie back. And nine times out of 10, you probably still won’t get it back. So, Hanes is here to ease the pain.

How to “file” a claim.

Call 540-5-hoodie.

You’ll then chat with an operator that will help you heal and of course, give you 15 percent off your next Hanes hoodie. “It’s time to move on from that old hoodie and into a brand new, even better one,” the operator tells distraught callers.

Isn’t a hotline a bit… dramatic?

Easy for hoodie stealers to say. “Among the stolen hoodie season conversation on social, we heard a cry for help,” Brigham Kmetzch and MJ Cuyán, creatives from The Martin Agency shared with Adweek. “We leaned into the nostalgia of the ‘90s late-night phone line because there’s nothing like dialing a number on a screen while corny jazz music plays,” they continued. “And if our advice didn’t help… well, we also offered discounted hoodies for everyone in need. Go ahead, call in!”
