ASICS and Solana Explore the Future of Footwear Fuelled by Web3
Including 11 custom-made running shoes and a loyalty ASICS badge NFT.
Since its inception, ASICS has conquered the hearts of both athletes and footwear fanatics. Now the Japanese label is taking one step further and exploring Web3 community with the launch of the new ASICS x Solana “UI” collection.
The exciting release features 11 custom-made running shoes, with the purchase automatically including a loyalty ASICS badge NFT and the opportunity to mint a limited number of ASICS x STEPN GT-2000 NFTs. As for the silhouette, the sneaker arrives in a light mode and dark mode colorway, referencing the different user interfaces on phones and computer screens.
The sneaker maintains ASICS’ signature features, yet implements a Solana gradient on the heel and tongue. A reflective ASICS badge and a breathable mesh upper keep the sneaker modern and fresh. Elsewhere, an energetic cushioning covers the insole, delivering a lightweight and comfortable feel that adjusts to the wearer’s foot.
