Puma and AMI Return for Second Capsule Collection
Inspired by the thirst for adventure.
French label AMI and sportswear giant PUMA have once again joined forces for a bold collection, this time inspired by the outdoors.
Starring singer-songwriter GIVĒON and model and activist Quannah Chasinghorse, the new campaign highlights the collection’s technical design details and vivid color palette.
Drawing inspiration from the thirst for freedom, the new collection takes cues from PUMA’s sportswear heritage and design, merging it with AMI’s unique approach to tailoring and fabrics. “I wanted this collection to be a perfect balance between our two worlds,” says Alexandre Mattiussi, Founder and Creative Director of AMI, in a press release. “The goal was a playful, colourful collection, rich in volume and in extravagant details. It is a new chapter on the story we began developing during our last collaboration. We are now taking things further, “Mattiussi adds.
“Together, we have been on a journey from wardrobe essentials to cosy, cocoon-like pieces you want to cuddle up with. This season, it is all about softness, oversized volumes, layering and draping with outdoors and hiking-inspired elements, which creates a certain sense of chic, but also a feel-good sensation,” explains Heiko Desens, Global Creative Director for PUMA.
Featuring a striking color palette of bright orange, baby blue, bubble gum pink and moss green interspersed with neutral beige and brown towns, the collection comprises 20 different styles across both womenswear and menswear. Standout pieces include AMI’s classic carrot trousers, brushed coats and T-shirts alongside cozy hoodies, fleece jackets and sweatpants.
Elsewhere, the collection features a selection of accessories and a new take on the Puma Rider sneaker.
The new PUMA x AMI collection is available for purchase from PUMA’s website and U.K. app.
