Selena Gomez Reacts to Skinny Shaming From Her Justin Bieber Era... Is She Wrong?

The response comes after squashing the beef with Hailey Bieber.

Selena Gomez has had quite the year between Hailey Bieber and Justin Bieber drama and that “random” Call Her Daddy episode. This week, a fan shared a TikTok video questioning Gomez’s weight — as if that’s ever appropriate — and she has a word.

For some reason, Bieber fans can’t get over the relationship that ended in 2018. In the video below the text reads, “The reason why Selena is always skinny when she dates Justin.” Following the photos of the musician was an old Instagram comment from a fan telling Gomez that “Justin Bieber really messed up,” by fumbling her. Selena Gomez commented: “No love. He’d rather models, I’m just too normal.”

Interestingly enough, Justin went on to date model, Hailey Baldwin, now Bieber.

Well, it seems Gomez still agrees with her comment because she replied to the current TikTok video with “😔.” Thankfully, TikTok users began to urge the original creator to take down the post to avoid any further body shaming. Others questioned Gomez’s motives for commenting — after she and Hailey recently squashed all issues.

However, this raises an important point. Gomez’s body is being openly discussed, with her weight being tracked by random people on the internet. Regardless of your views — it’s a total invasion of privacy. As one person commented: “This TikTok is literally about [Gomez's] experience with her own body and body-shaming so she’s free to say whatever she wants 🤷🏼‍♂️.”
