These "Cryptopanties" Help Guide Women Into the Male-Dominated NFT Space
Stockholm brand Rave Review’s virtual collection seeks to promote diversity in the metaverse.
Rave Review, the female-led and sustainable Stockholm brand has a solution for women overwhelmed by the male-dominated NFT space. Titled “Cryptopanties,” the latest launch of the rebellious fashion brand aims to form a community on the blockchain. Created in collaboration with digital fashion collector RedDAO, the garments of the virtual collection will be part of the next wave of the digital fashion movement.
The selection of panties as the entryway into NFTs was an intentional one, Rave Review shares in a press release. “The panties are an unexpected garment. Super feminine. It made the most sense to us to design pieces for the types of people we hope to see more of in the metaverse,” creative directors Josephine Bergqvist and Livia Schück explain.
Like many other NFT collections that are geared towards men, the “Cryptopanties” collection allows buyers — especially women, a group that is usually left out of the industry – to join an online community. Rave Review’s goal for this new collective is to reunite the already existing high-end upcycling community, but on the blockchain.
To help women enter into the new online space, Rave Review has created an interactive play-by-play to get you started. “For one week, we will be releasing passwords through social media. When inserted to our website, they will unlock a number of challenges and get access to newcomer-friendly guiding instructions and FAQs,” the company shares. Completing these challenges will allow users to learn and explore crypto world basics, sign up for pre-sales and gain early access to NFT reveals, all within a safe community.
Sales will open on April 22nd on the “Cryptopanties” site.
