11 AAPI-Owned Makeup and Skincare Brands to Shop This Month and Beyond

From Hero Cosmetics to Tower28.

May is AAPI Heritage Month — a time to honor the rich diversity, strength and global impact of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, especially within the beauty space. Through adversity and creativity, we are constantly witnessing the creation of resilience and rich ideas. This community of individuals continues to inspire and spark meaningful change across industries, including makeup, skincare and haircare.

While the beauty world is making strides toward greater inclusivity, there’s still much work to be done. In celebration of progress and in recognition of those leading the way, we’re spotlighting some of our favorite AAPI-owned beauty brands. From Hero Cosmetics to Tower 28, these pioneers are setting the new standard for what the future of beauty should look like.
