UK-Based HIP Launches Exclusive New Balance Womenswear Collection

The modern lifestyle curators bring womenswear to the forefront.

Independent U.K. retailer HIP just launched a 10-piece unisex collaboration with New Balance. The brand joins an already established selection of brands in the store’s newly-launched womenswear selection including Girls of Dust, YMC and Carhartt WIP.

The latest collaboration sees New Balance designing a range of tonal essentials that pay tribute to the brand’s sporting heritage with a contemporary twist. The versatile collection is made up of lightweight zip-up tops, sweaters, vests and trousers in classic navy and brown colorways.

After predominantly focusing on menswear since its opening in 1987, HIP launched its dedicated womenswear department in April this year. Alongside launching the department on the brand’s website, the first floor of its flagship Leeds-based store is now dedicated to stocking product from the womenswear range, alongside lifestyle and homeware products. To celebrate the launch of HIP women’s, the retailer worked with known creatives from the Leeds area like Jenny Beard and Elettr, visiting their studio spaces and documenting their process.

Check out the exclusive New Balance collaboration above, available for purchase from HIP’s website from 8am on May 27. While you’re here, take a look at the latest “Grey Day” campaign from New Balance.
