Balenciaga Declares "Anybody Is Queer" With Pride 2022 Campaign

We are not a deviation, but the norm.

To celebrate this year’s Pride festivities, Balenciaga is launching a dedicated campaign, alongside a series of products dedicated to amplifying the LGBTQ+ community as 15% of the sales made will go towards Outright Action International, the only organization of its kind with consultative status and a permanent presence at the United Nations Headquarters.

The Balenciaga Pride 2022 range of items includes fitted tops, ultra-comfy hoodies and T-shirts, as well as a melange of accessories from hats and socks to scarves and eye-catching jewelry. The newest drop is grounded with a graphic design based on gendered symbols consisting of figures bearing the feminine and masculine indicators of skirt and pants while holding hands. Elsewhere, a chart of flags from across the globe representing inclusivity is featured on other products.

This latest project extends Balenciaga’s long history of championing LGBTQ+ visibility and overarching acceptance, helping to lessen the stigma through creativity and fashion. By showcasing a diverse array of faces, “Anybody is Queer” proves that there is no one way to be queer and the LGTBQ+ comes from all walks of life.

Take a look at the campaign in the gallery above and head to Balenciaga’s online store to purchase an item that benefits the LGTBQ+ community.
