Daniëlle Cathari Celebrates Her New Woolrich Collection With a Cottagecore Getaway
Bridging the gap between online and offline.
Amsterdam-based designer Daniëlle Cathari unveiled her second collection with Woolrich back in April, and now the collection has been put to the test during a three-day getaway in the great outdoors.
To celebrate the new launch, Cathari and Woolrich invited a group of content creators for the ultimate girls trip, aiming to merge the online with the offline and foster community and connection. The trip took place in Ferdy Wild, an idyllic family-run farm in the Italian mountains, and saw the group partake in activities like hiking, foraging and cow-milking. Embodying the collection’s “Made for Fun” spirit, the trip was designed to allow the group to experience the product in its most authentic form and ensure that each piece was put through its paces.
The collection itself sees Cathari diving into the Woolrich archives and discovering a radio script from 1987 titled “Made for Fun.” The script ended up being the core influence for the second partnership, encouraging a mixture of colors and asymmetric silhouettes alongside repurposed fabrics and classic outdoor styles. Ranging from functional bomber jackets and cozy quarter-zip sweatshirts to knitted halter tops and cargo skirts, the collection fuses functional outdoor attire with contemporary and playful design.
“Made for Fun” marks Cathari’s second project with Woolrich, with the first focusing on the label’s “Woolrich Woman” line which hadn’t been touched for 40 years.
The new collection is available for purchase from the Woolrich website alongside Daniëlle Cathari’s online store.
