Tremaine Emory's Denim Tears Gives Dover Street Market a Touch of Bling
Each pair of jeans features approximately 300 hand-applied rhinestones.
Supreme‘s Creative Director Tremaine Emory just unveiled the latest offering from his streetwear brand, Denim Tears. The drop comes in the form of a nine-piece unisex collection which pays tribute to the brand’s Americana heritage.
Taking the idea of bling to a whole new level, the new collection sees each pair of the iconic Denim Tears 501 reimagined with approximately 300 hand-applied rhinestones. The jeans, now dubbed the Rhinestone Cotton Wreath Denim, are available in indigo, white, raw and black denim washes. Released in partnership with Dover Street Market, the collection includes a Denim Tears short sleeve T-shirt with DSM’s logo placed proudly on the back, as a nod to this being the first time that a Denim Tears mainline collection is available outside of its own site. Alongside the T-shirt, the collection consists of a rhinestone-embellished, half-zip pullover sweatshirt, zip-up hoodie, thermal top and cap.
To celebrate the new release, Denim Tears released a campaign starring Jmann Patton and Brooklyn-based artist Aya Brown, who is best known for her socio-political commentary focused on shedding light on Black and brown LGBTQ+ folks and the issues that they face.
The new “Denim Tears Rhinestone” capsule collection will be available for purchase from July 7 at global Dover Street Market locations alongside the DSM website. In other news, check out the latest collaboration from Harry Styles and Gucci.
