Hypebeans Taps Artist Javier Calleja for Playful, Coffee-Themed Capsule

The range is comprised of a tee, keychain and poster, which all highlight a new version of the creative’s character Cafeto — a boy that wears a cup of Joe on his head. The graphic is printed onto the back of a white tee, which features Hypebeans’ logo on the front. The keychain arrives in the shape of the character while the poster — marking Calleja’s first-ever official poster — comes with a coffee-colored background.
Calleja spoke of the collaboration: “I always like my work to reach a new and wider audience, and this is why I enjoy doing these collaborations. They allow me and my work to become a little part of their lives, and I enjoy that idea.”
In celebration of the partnership, Hypebeans’ spaces in Hong Kong and Seoul are being redesigned with special installations and illustrations featuring Cafeto. Here, guests can also enjoy a special drink dubbed the Golden Black, a citrusy coffee featuring a frothed mixture of americano and yuzu puree, topped with lemon zest.

The collection is priced at $180 HKD (approximately $23 USD) for the keychain, $360 HKD (approximately $46 USD) for the poster and $450 HKD (approximately $57 USD) for the T-shirt. All items are available at Hypebeans’ locations in Hong Kong and Seoul, as well as HBX worldwide from June 9.
