111SKIN Marks 10 Years of Its Science Meets Skincare Philosophy

Find out how the cult beauty brand is celebrating the anniversary.

111SKIN has attracted an ever-growing fanbase since its launch 10 years ago, thanks to its Instagram-famous under eye patches and other surgically-inspired skincare products. But, for founders Dr Yannis and Eva Alexandrides the work doesn’t stop there.

Established at Dr Yannis’ clinic on London’s 111 Harley Street – where the brand’s name originates – 111SKIN found its footing with healing solutions that patients routinely used after treatments. In collaboration with scientists and European space researchers, Dr Yannis tapped into his extensive medical background as he continued to engineer anti-aging skincare products from unlikely sources including the Dead Sea. With the aim of supplementing both the instant and long-term, its range has blossomed from one repair complex – the NAC Y² – made of amino acids, peptides and vitamins.

Speaking of the complex’s invention, Dr Yannis says “By bringing together the research of those scientists, conducted in the extreme environment of space, with my understanding as a surgeon of how the skin behaves, we were able to create something that truly met the needs of my clients. And that is a powerful thing.” He adds, “What I’ve been able to witness over the years is the skin’s incredible capacity to heal itself.”

As the brand marks its 10th anniversary, 111SKIN hopes it can continue expanding its influence across the globe, keeping skincare en vogue for another 10 years. With this, they urge more individuals to explore its skincare icons such as the staple Y Theorem Repair Serum NAC Y² that lives in the brand’s Reparative range for its ability to protect and repair damaged cells. Or, the NAC Y² Recovery Mask, built to reduce oxidative stress and strengthen against the increasingly worrying environmental aggravators.

Other specially targeted products include the Space Defence Eye Lift Gel made with natural Argireline to reduce fine lines, Rose Gold Radiance Booster for instant luminosity as well as the wildly popular Sub-Zero De-Puffing Eye Masks that help with depuffing and dark circles.

For a glowing radiance and total skin confidence this season, 111SKIN proposes a perfected summer routine compiled specifically with these iconic treatments and staple products. Take a closer look at the campaign in the gallery above to see them captured in the summer sun.
